Welcome to My Corner of the Ether
We like to think life is a linear path, but it's far too unpredictable and erratic. Life moves and shifts in seasons. Some seasons might demand us to shed old versions of ourselves while other seasons invite us to bloom in ways we never thought possible. I’m a 27-year-old stay at home mom, college student and writer. In my blog “Echoes”, I write about the seasons; the sunny, the rainy and the terrifyingly stormy.
My passion for writing emerged with a need to articulate my history into my own narrative. Growing up with an authoritarian upbringing, I was taught to blend in, follow rigid rules and ignore my own intuition. Motherhood didn’t just introduce me to my children; it introduced me to myself. Holding my little ones forced me to look back at my childhood with fresh eyes. I realized that to be the parent my children deserve, I have to heal the child I used to be. Every day, I am learning to break old cycles, question inherited beliefs and trade rigid rules for grace and unconditional love.
Whether you are navigating a career shift, healing from your own past or balancing the beautiful chaos of parenting, my goal is to make you feel less alone in the transition.
When I’m not typing away at my keyboard or chasing my kids, I enjoy playing video games with my husband and going thrift shopping. I live in Onalaska, Wisconsin, navigating the beautiful shifting seasons one day at a time.
